Optimate

The story starts back in 2018, when I was a student of Sam Ovens.

For anyone who doesn't know Sam, he was really big in the consulting space and now he owns Skool.com

Like many coming up through Sam Ovens’ consulting program, I was building my own thing, learning fast, and asking questions publicly.

I was super excited, trying to figure out LinkedIn, so I put a post out to the group asking if anyone would be open to sharing their strategy, and one person stood out: Mitch Gonsalves. Instead of just replying with a couple of tips, he decided to do a full-on webinar walking through his entire process. That’s just who he is.

Two months after the webinar, I reached back out to Mitch, this time with a fully automated system based on his method.

See, I’ve always hated manual work. It's unreliable. It slows things down. And more than anything, it hides the data you actually need to make smart decisions.

When I brought it back to him, we knew we had something. We partnered up and launched a business together: Executive Advantage.

It took off quickly. Within a few months, we were doing six figures a month and working with a lot of high-level clients. Eventually, we even launched a mastermind for the people in our ecosystem — something I’m still really proud of.

But like every high-ticket business, we hit walls.
• Hiring great salespeople was hard.
• Training and managing them was harder.
• Commissions were tracked in spreadsheets.
• Receivables were scattered.

We’d get asked things like “Did this client pay?” and have to go digging through Stripe, Slack, Close and multiple spreadsheets, and who-knows-what.

So I started building — again. Not just a couple of zaps stringing the pieces together, but a dashboard that collected data reliably. A system. A place where all the sales metrics would be 100% accurate.

We called it HQ — short for “High-Ticket HQ.” The idea was simple: if your business had a virtual headquarters, this was it.

It worked. Quietly, in the background, HQ started making our company run cleaner. We knew what was sold, what was paid, what was owed, and how our team was performing — all without us babysitting the process. And the results were there too.

That’s when HQ became Optimate. A name that blends the two things I’ve always chased: optimization and automation.

Later, Mitch went on to pursue his own path, and I’ve continued leading Optimate forward — turning it into the platform I wish we’d had from day one.

Today, Optimate is powering teams who are tired of the mess — tired of spreadsheets, tired of overpaying, tired of wondering what’s actually going on inside their own business.

We built it for us.
