How To Save Time and Hit Your Goals Using This Proven Game Plan
For years, our team has been using a tool we designed that’s super straightforward and easy to use, that gave us quick access to the day to day and the bigger picture, all at the same time. We’ve shared it with our paying clients for a while now, and it’s been a total game-changer for them.
But we’re all about providing as much value as we can, so we’ve decided to share it here—for free—along with step-by-step instructions on how to use it.
Because here’s the thing: Data is knowledge, and knowledge is power. When you have the right insights, you can make smarter decisions—knowing what changes to make, when to make them, and how to keep improving.

📋 How to Use the Game Plan
Understand the Layout
This is a "view only" document. To be able to make changes, click on File -> Make a copy.
There is a tab for the year and each month has its own tab
To change the year, go to the Year tab and update cell "A2". This will update the entire workbook, including adjusting and highlighting weekends. Make a copy for every year.
The Year Tab
Use this tab to map out your big initiatives (projects/milestones), life events (including vacations), training (coaching events, conferences, masterminds, etc.), and anything else that will take up a lot of time
Enter each item in column AE, and then highlight the days using the color for each item. For example, if you're going on 3 vacations in the year, and the legend color is blue, highlight those days blue on the calendar
Once you're done, you will have a clear picture of every big thing for the year, and you can ensure there's no overlap and things are evenly planned
The Month Tabs
This is where the magic happens. Use these tabs to break your big yearly items into smaller, actionable steps.
During your weekly planning meetings (Recommend Level 10 meetings from EOS), you will identify the To Do items, KPIs, and other work that must be done each week. Write tasks in the cells below the day number, and your objectives and goals in columns O and P
List the Monthly Objectives and Goals sections in Rows 33-38 to keep your team focused
Color code tasks when they are done or still open, so they stand out
Stay Consistent
Here’s the key: review and update regularly.
Start each week or month by checking your progress, adjusting tasks, and planning your week
It’s simple, but consistency is what makes the difference.
Whether you’re using this for work, personal goals, or both, this tool can help you stay focused and accountable. Update the dates, fill it in, and keep checking back. The clearer your plan, the easier it’ll be to crush it.
You’ve got this. Let’s make this year your best one yet. 💪
